Rhinoplasty/Nose Job

Gynecomastia surgery is a specialized procedure that reshapes the male chest by removing excess fat and glandular tissue, creating a firmer, more masculine chest contour and boosting overall confidence and self-image.

What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, or a nose job, is a surgical procedure designed to reshape, resize, or refine the nose for improved appearance or function. It addresses cosmetic concerns, such as reducing nasal size, refining the tip, or correcting asymmetry, as well as functional issues, like a deviated septum that affects breathing.

There are two primary approaches: Open Rhinoplasty and Closed Rhinoplasty, each tailored to specific patient needs.

Rhinoplasty offers a transformative solution, enhancing both facial aesthetics and nasal function for those seeking lasting results.

Why Consider Rhinoplasty?

The Rhinoplasty Procedure

1. Anaesthesia

The patient will be administered anaesthesia to ensure comfort throughout the surgery.

2. Incisions

Based on the chosen technique, incisions are made either inside the nose (closed rhinoplasty) or across the columella (open rhinoplasty) to access the nasal structures.

3. Nasal Reshaping

The surgeon will reshape the nasal structures by removing or adding cartilage or bone, depending on the desired changes to achieve a balanced and natural appearance.

4. Closing the Incisions

Once the reshaping is complete, the incisions are closed with sutures to allow for proper healing.

Risks and Complications

While incisions are typically well-concealed, some patients may experience visible scarring. Proper post-operative care and scar management techniques can help minimize their appearance over time.
In some cases, the results may not be perfectly symmetrical. This can be addressed through revision surgery if needed to enhance overall balance and aesthetics.
Temporary or permanent changes in nasal sensitivity may occur, although these usually resolve over time. Patients may experience numbness or heightened sensitivity in the treated area.
Rarely, patients may experience changes in nasal airflow post-surgery, which may require further evaluation. If persistent, corrective procedures or medical interventions may be necessary.
Though rare, infections can occur at the surgical site. Following post-operative care instructions, keeping the area clean, and taking prescribed antibiotics can help minimize this risk.
Post-surgical swelling and bruising are common and usually subside within a few weeks. Cold compresses and prescribed medications can help manage discomfort and promote healing.

Types of Rhinoplasty

Open Rhinoplasty:

In open rhinoplasty, the surgeon creates a small incision on the columella (the tissue between the nostrils) along with internal incisions inside the nose. This method offers enhanced visibility and access to nasal structures, making it ideal for complex reshaping, reconstruction, or major corrections.

Closed Rhinoplasty:

In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, leaving no visible scars. This approach is suited for minor adjustments and typically allows for a faster recovery compared to open rhinoplasty, while still achieving precise results.
